Dr.Axe…I had a test done for leaky gut and it came back positive in early Jan.I’ve been taking your Probiotics and gut Restore…also have your gut repair cookbook.I heard flaxseed meal is hard on the gut lining…is sprouted flax meal?

How are blueberries mixed with avacado
Love this smoothie, I use 1/2-3/4 cup of coconut milk to make it a little less thick. Thanks, Dr. Axe…
Would ground flaxseed be just as good?
Absolutely!
What’s with whey protein? Is this not derived from Soy? I would rather not use this. Is there a substitute for whey protein? I’m a vegan and I think I get more than enough protein from my vegetables and my green smoothies.
Pea and rice protein
I use znaturalfoods.com
Great smoothies. Thanks dr. Axe.
hi can I make a big batch of am smoothies and use next day?
Make them fresh because the ingredients oxidize and lose nutrition and taste.
Agreed!
How do we feel about hemp protein? Could I sub that in for the whey? Thanks!
Would it be good to add chia seeds to this? If so, how much? TIA!
1 tbsp of sprouted chia seeds would be great!
Hello!
I thank you for a brilliant site!
Just wondered if it is ok to consume whey protein whilst dieting against candida.
Thank you
If it is a pure whey it should be fine but listen to your body!
I am so excited to start following all your wonderful advice! Please forgive me for asking such a silly question but do you add any water/liquids when making this blueberry smoothie? Thanks again for all your help
The coconut milk is a liquid but you can always add more or add water if the consistency is too thick for your liking.
I gave this a go this morning for the fist time and I too also found that 1/4 cup of milk was not enough to make my blender work properly. I had to add at least 1 cup of water.
My whey power didn’t come with a “scoop” I’m presuming a scoop = 1 tablespoon?? Same with the superfood powder, should this be 1 tablespoon as well?
Your recipes sound wonderful and I’m really looking forward to trying them. Today is day one! :-)
Hi, wanted to thank you for your generosity on the 40 smoothies page but was not allowed to comment, so I’m trying again here

I travel and won’t have access to a blender! Could I make this one afternoon and consume the next morning ?? I am thinking put it in a container I can then shake before I drink it.
Yes, this should work. Just keep it refrigerated in between! Way to think ahead!
