I read somewhere that raw almonds are toxic. Is this completely true? Love your articles! Thanks!
I think sprouting almonds before consuming them is a good idea
you mentioned, in another article, how to make your own granola using sprouted almonds, cashews, chia seeds, and then adding honey and either putting in oven or dehydrator. Could you share some more specifics on how to do that? I tried it…my nuts looked a bit brown, but didn’t taste burnt. Just would like to see if I did it correctly, since no instructions on how long to put in oven. Thank you, any feedback would help.
For sprouted granola, simply soak almonds, pecans, cashews, and chia seeds in water for 8 hours then set them out for a day on a paper towel to dry. Then mix these ingredients with raw local honey, raisins, coconut flakes, cinnamon and sea salt. Place them in a dehydrator or an oven set at 150 degrees F (as low a temp as it will let you) for 12-24 hours.
