Maybe consider looking at taking magnesium. Most of us are defiecient in this vital mineral,
and a deficiency can cause weight gain.

I would focus on cutting out processed sugars and grains. I would try burst training 3-4 times each week. I would also check out some of the tips in this article: https://draxe.com/health/10-ways-balance-hormones-naturally/

I would consult with your physician about his medication and any contraindications with taking glutamine. Also check this out: https://draxe.com/health/how-to-reverse-diabetes-naturally-in-30-days-or-less/
]]>I would eliminate grains, sugars and processed foods from your diet and focus on lean meats and vegetables.
]]>Diet is huge! Try eliminating gluten from your diet as well as all grains, sugars and processed foods. I would also incorporate burst training 3x per week.

I would try these natural remedies first but if you see no changes, it can be fine as a last resort.

]]>Can he take L-Glutamine and are there any side-effects for diabetics?
He does have frequent bouts of diahorreah which he say’s is caused by the Metformin, I also note his breath has a sulfur type odor which is pretty offensive and put me right out of touch. Its definitely nothing to do with mouth hygiene or the sinuses, the odor is from the gut. When he doesn’t eat, its worse! I put him on a Zeolite detox for a month which works short term and combined Pro-Prebiotic, Wild Oregano, Olive leaf extract, Astralagus, Omega 3, Vit B12 and a really good High potency Multivitamin & mineral supplement for 3 months with reasonable diet changes that has helped so far, the breath is persistent and must be addressed correctly – How can you help?
]]>YES, exercise and food are VERY important for hormonal symptoms. I do not treat a patient without talking about their diet and lifestyle. I teach them meditation and nutrition. Lifestyle change is KEY to everything. I just hate to see people turned away from something that can truly help them.
]]>hi what bioidenticals did you use? And what is that herb you are talking about Tonkst Ali where do you get it? I am on Prometrium a bioidenticals progesterone and Armor Thyroid and it really helped me
]]>hello, I’m a two year breast cancer suvivor. I had a 1a triple negative tumor removed with a lumpectomy. This is just my story but I did 6 weeks radiation and I would not do it again. Not because it was horrible. I’m very healthy and had no problems with fatigue or burning. But it’s the two years later I still have some, just some pain from the radiation in the whole area of treatment. One a positive note I had no cosmetic changes to that breast like a lot of women report. My pathology was misdiagnosed 3 times. At one point they thought it to be a triple positive cancer and tamoxifen was on my radar for treatment. I said no to that and chemo and had to be talked into radiation. Only you can make these choices and they are hard. Try to what you feel is right for you. Be the ceo of your cancer. Don’t let anyone bully you into treatments you are not comfortable with. Educate yourself about every single process and prescription treatment that you are presented with. You will make the right desision for you. Your cancer is not like anyone’s. You have the power to treat it like that! Good fortune on your journey and know there are tons of women living normal healthy lives that have walked your same path!
]]>My research, from the same sources as yours, has shown that take bio-identical hormones actually decreased the risk for Uteran cancer, breast cancer, heart disease and more.
I found nothing that said it was riskier to take these.
]]>GLA (Borage Oil)
Omega-3 (Fish Oil)
Chasteberry/Vitex
I like the Progesterone cream by Emerita.
]]>If you’re going to quote the WHI study, it’s important that you point out it was synthetic forms of estrogen and progesterone that put women at risk. It’s also important to point out that those who were at risk for heart attack, stroke, etc., were also over the age of 60, and ONLY used synthetic estrogen. They did not have the benefit of balancing the estrogen with progesterone. A very important and often overlooked fact when WHI results are being quoted.
Bioidentical hormones were not used in the study. That is another important fact which should be made clear as well.
Hormone therapy can be very helpful for many women. But, it’s important that they understand ALL of the risks and from whence these risks arise. They are not associated with bioidentical hormones.

You mix it with warm water and then drink it like a tea. It has helped me relax and get a good night sleep without any pharmaceutical intervention. It tastes pretty good, too. I think it comes in lemon and orange. Good luck!
